Chatham man charged for drunk driving
Police arrested a man following a routine traffic stop on Saturday.
The stop occurred early in the morning on Wellington Street West.
The officer believed that the driver was impaired by alcohol and had him transported to police headquarters for further testing.
A 36-year old Chatham man faces an impaired driving charge and a November court date.

Man arrested after drunken disturbance
Chatham-Kent police responded to reports of an out-of-control man at a Chatham business Sunday morning.
Officers determined that the man was drunk and that he'd damaged the business' door.
The suspect was charged with Mischief Under $5,000 and Being Intoxicated in a Public Place.

Police investigating multiple break-and-enters
On Saturday morning, police responded to a break-and-enter at a Monarch Drive home in Chatham.
Investigators said that an unknown individual entered a shed on the property in the overnight hours and took several tools.

Two chainsaws taken from a trailer during a break-and-enter have been recovered.
Chatham-Kent police were called to a residence on Wellington Street East on Saturday afternoon for reports of the b-and-e.
Police said that there are currently no suspects in the investigation.

Chatham-Kent police responded to a break-and-enter at a residence on Woods Street Sunday morning.
"An unknown person entered a shed on the property and removed approximately $500 in meat," police said.
Investigators have not identified a suspect.

According to officers, a suspect went into a shed on the property and took a pink and maroon bicycle.

Man charged following domestic dispute
Police responded to a possible domestic dispute between a man and a woman at a residence on John Street East in Blenheim.
Investigators determined that the man had attacked the woman.
The male suspect has been charged with two counts of assault. He was released from police custody with a court date of November 27.

Man arrested by way of warrant
A police officer on patrol recognized a wanted man in Wallaceburg on Saturday.
Police said the man saw the man on McNaughton Avenue in the afternoon and arrested him due to an outstanding warrant.
The suspect was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
