CK woman charged with robbery
A 44-year-old Chatham-Kent woman is charged with robbery after she allegedly assaulted a store employee in Chatham and demanded money from them.
Police said they were called to the store on St. Clair Street at around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and were told that the alleged assault took place after the woman was asked to leave the store because she was suspected of stealing.
Officers said when the employee confronted the woman, she turned on them and demanded money.
Police said when the employee refused to hand over any cash, the woman allegedly walked behind the counter and demanded money again before backing the employee up against the wall and assaulting them.
The woman took off before police arrived, but they were able to track her down.
She was later charged with robbery and was taken to police headquarters where she was set to be held pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested after allegedly bothering people at the Downtown Chatham Centre
A 32-year-old Chatham-Kent man who was previously banned from attending the mall in downtown Chatham is back in police custody after he visited the building again.
Chatham-Kent police said they found the man while they were following up on a call shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday about a man bothering patrons.
Police said they confirmed that the man was bound by a probation order to stay away from 100 King Street, so they arrested him.
He was taken to police headquarters and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.

Man banned from Chatham address arrested for visiting there
A 31-year-old Chatham man is in more trouble with police after he allegedly knocked on the door of a residence he was supposed to stay away from.
CK police said the man had been released from custody on August 14 with a condition that banned him from attending a specific address in Chatham, but officers were notified just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday that despite that order, the man was banging on the door of the residence.
Police said they found the man outside of the residence when they arrived.
He was arrested and charged with failing to comply with an undertaking.
The man was taken to police headquarters and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.
