Six boys aged 12 to 17 are all facing assault charges after two men were beaten up by a group of youths in Tecumseh Park earlier this month.
Police said they got that call shortly after 12 a.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
Officers said the men who were assaulted suffered "significant" non-life-threatening injuries.
One of the victims was taken to the hospital and both of them received medical attention.
Investigators identified six youths in connection with the case and they were all arrested and charged with the following offences:
A 12-year-old Chatham boy was charged with aggravated assault
A 13-year-old Chatham boy was charged with robbery and aggravated assault
A 13-year-old Chatham boy was charged with aggravated assault and assault causing bodily harm
A 15-year-old Chatham boy was charged with aggravated assault and assault causing bodily harm
A 16-year-old Chatham boy was charged with aggravated assault
A 17-year-old Chatham boy was charged with aggravated assault
All six of the youths have since been released from custody with a future court date.
Police are still investigating and they are trying to identify additional suspects who may have been involved.
