She was charged and taken to police headquarters and was set to be held in custody pending a court appearance.

Man arrested in aggravated assault charged for violating release conditions

A 19-year-old Wallaceburg man who was arrested last month in connection with an aggravated assault is in more trouble with the law now.

Chatham-Kent police said the man was arrested in July and later released with conditions that required him to stop associating with some specific people.

On Monday, police learned that the man had allegedly breached that condition by texting someone he wasn't supposed to be contacting.

Investigators said they were able to confirm that information and the man was arrested over the noon-hour on Tuesday after police got a tip that he was walking on James Street in Wallaceburg.

Officers confirmed that the man was wanted on outstanding warrants and he was taken into police custody where he was set to be held pending a court appearance.
