Vehicle stolen from car show

Chatham-Kent police are investigating the theft of a vehicle from Saturday's Bothwell Car Show.

The vehicle is described as a white 1982 GMC S15 pickup, with an Ontario license plate reading 4H3723.

Chatham woman arrested for theft

Police responded to a Chatham business on St. Clair Street at 6:36 p.m. on Saturday for a shoplifting investigation.

A woman entered the store, stole approximately $500 in items, and exited without attempting to pay for the merchandise, police said.

Officers quickly arrested the woman and recovered the items.

Police said that the woman provided them with a false name, but she was later discovered to be a 37-year-old woman from Chatham.

She faces charges including theft and possession of stolen property under $5,000 and obstructing police. According to police, she also had outstanding warrants for her arrest.

Woman arrested for public intoxication

Police were called to an address on King Street West in Chatham for a disturbance early Sunday morning.

When officers arrived, at approximately 1:29 a.m., they found an intoxicated woman. It was determined that she was unable to care for herself so she was taken to police headquarters and held until she sobered up.

A 23-year-old Chatham woman was charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
