Traffic complaint in Tilbury leads to charges

A 33-year-old Windsor man faces numerous driving offences following an impaired driver complaint in Tilbury.

CK police responded to the complaint around 7:50 Saturday night. A traffic stop was conducted in the area of Tecumseh Line and police determined that the male driver may be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested after failing a breath test, police said.

The man was found to have a previous court order that prohibited him from leaving his home with alcohol in his body.

At police headquarters, the man allegedly refused to provide further breath samples and caused damage to police property, which resulted in more charges.

He was later released with a future court date.
