Provincial police have charged a driver relating to a crash along Highway 401 that shuttered the westbound lanes near Rodney late Tuesday afternoon.
At around 4 p.m., Ontario Provincial Police responded to a crash involving a transport truck and a pickup truck along the highway near Duart Road, outside a construction zone in the area.
Both lanes were blocked by the vehicles involved, snarling traffic for several kilometres.
Police are diverting motorists off of the 401 at Furnival Road in Rodney, however many motorists have reported traffic is slow going.
No life-threatening injuries have been reported.
A 35-year Woodstock resident has been charged with careless driving.
Drivers were advised to find an alternate route while crews worked to clear the scene.
Shortly after 7 p.m., Ontario 511 reported the highway had been reopened.
