Chatham-Kent police are investigating a fatal crash near Dresden that claimed the life of a 57-year-old Wallaceburg man Thursday afternoon.
Police said emergency crews were called to the scene at Dawn Mills Road at Croton Line just before 3 p.m. Thursday, adding that a motorcycle was heading eastbound on Croton Line when it collided with a pickup truck that was heading south on Dawn Mills Road.
Investigators said both vehicles went off the road as a result of the crash and ended up on the east side of Dawn Mills Road.
Police said the 57-year-old Wallaceburg man on the motorcycle was thrown off during the crash and died from his injuries.
The 49-year-old Oil Springs man who was in the pickup truck sustained minor injuries, according to police.
