Man arrested for going out past his curfew
A 39-year-old Chatham man who was supposed to be on his best behaviour has been arrested after police allegedly found him while they were following up on a tip about a theft.
Police said they found the man after officers were called to an address on Michener Road shortly after 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Investigators learned that the man had two release orders with a curfew and they were also able to confirm that he was out past that time.
The man was arrested, charged with two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking, and held pending a bail hearing.

Suspect caught on camera
Some video surveillance helped police track down a man accused of using stolen debit cards.
CK police said they got involved after receiving reports of two separate thefts from vehicles on June 5 and June 6.
Officers said they learned that the victims' wallets were taken from their vehicles and that their stolen debit cards were used at several stores in Wallaceburg.
Police were able to identify a suspect in connection with the case after reviewing some video surveillance.
They got a warrant for his arrest and found him on Wednesday.
He was arrested, charged with two counts of possession of stolen property and three counts of fraud, and later released with conditions and a future court date.

Police find two wanted people together in Highgate
Chatham-Kent police got a two-for-one deal on King Street in Highgate Wednesday afternoon when they found a man and a woman who were both wanted on warrants.
Police said they found the pair just before 2 p.m. and confirmed they were both wanted, so they were arrested.
Officers said the 42-year-old Highgate man was arrested and charged with break and enter in connection with a break and enter investigation that started on March 17, 2023. He was taken to police headquarters and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.
The 40-year-old Chatham-Kent woman police arrested was charged with failing to comply with a release order and failing to attend court. She was taken to police headquarters and was later released with a future court date.

Gas theft suspect turns up in Strathroy-area
A 52-year-old London man who was wanted in connection with a gas theft on Bloomfield Road four months ago has been arrested.
Chatham-Kent police said they were able to identify a suspect in the case, but they weren't able to find him, so a warrant was issued for his arrest.
CK police said they were notified just after 9 p.m. Wednesday by Strathroy-Caradoc police that they had the man in custody.
He was charged with theft and later released with conditions and a future court date.
