Window smashed during robbery on Queen Street

Police are investigating a break and enter that happened at a business on Queen Street.

Suspects gained entry to the building overnight on Saturday by smashing the front window and then made off with product from the store, police said.

Laptop stolen from Chatham restaurant

A restaurant on St. Clair Street was broken into overnight Saturday.

The drive-thru window was damaged, according to police, and a laptop was removed from the inside the business.

Charges laid in domestic assault

Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man who allegedly assaulted his partner.

Officers learned about the altercation while responding to a call for service.

The individual was charged with assault and assault with a weapon. He was taken to police headquarters and later released on a Form 10 undertaking pending a future court date.

Chatham man arrested on warrant

A local man with a warrant out for his arrest was located by police.

An officer on general patrol found the 43-year-old Chatham man and learned he was wanted by police.

The suspect was taken into custody and released on a Form 10 undertaking pending a court date.
