Three people are facing stunt driving charges after they were all caught going way too fast on the westbound Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent.
OPP say the fastest of the three was reportedly caught going 182 kilometres per hour at around 10 p.m. last week Tuesday.
In their weekly report, police said the vehicle also took off when an officer was trying to run a check of the driver's license.
Police found the vehicle a short time later at a nearby service centre.
A 39-year-old Bradford resident was charged with stunt driving failing to stop for police and driving while suspended.
In the second case, OPP reported stopping a vehicle on the Hwy. 401 in Chatham-Kent that was going 167 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone.
That stop was at around 9:40 a.m. on Friday.
A 27-year-old Chicago, Illinois resident was charged with stunt driving.
And in the third case, police stopped a vehicle at around 12:45 p.m. on Friday that was reportedly going 166 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone on the westbound Hwy. 401.
Police said they also allegedly saw open liquor containers in the vehicle.
A 32-year-old driver from Caledonia was charged with stunt driving and driving with liquor readily available.
