Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent, as low temperatures are expected to flirt with the freezing mark Monday night and early Tuesday morning.
"Areas that remain under cloud cover may not drop below zero degrees Celsius," read the advisory. "Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas."
Frost advisories are issued when significant temperature drops take place during the growing season. These temperature swings may have an impact on plants and crops.
Temperatures may be near freezing rain Tuesday and Wednesday nights, with a warm-up expected for Thursday.
