A 36-year-old Chatham woman who was already wanted by police is facing a handful of other charges after she allegedly stole some items from a business on Grand Avenue West in Chatham earlier this week.
Police said they were called to the business just before 4:45 p.m. Wednesday and learned that the woman had allegedly gone into the store on Tuesday this week at around 6:40 p.m. and removed a clothing item from a rack and hid it in a bag.
She then allegedly walked out of the store without paying for the item.
Police were able to identify the woman after reviewing some surveillance footage and also confirmed that she was wanted in "several other investigations" in addition to being bound by a probation order.
