A celebrity family from Dresden, which recently found fame with a television show after buying a funeral home, will be featured in a comic book to be unveiled at the CK Expo in Chatham next month.
CK Expo organizer Rob Bellamy told CK News Today that the Blumberg family will make an appearance in the fifth installment of the local comic book.
Heather Blumberg said it's "mind blowing" to be in the comic book.
"It' the coolest thing, it's absolutely amazing. We don't think we deserve it, but we are incredibly flattered," said Blumberg.
Bellamy said the comic book incorporates local celebrities every year and the Blumbergs were a no brainer this year.
He said the story also features Chatham-Kent Mayor Darrin Canniff and pays tribute to late Chatham-Kent police officer Rob Herder.
"We have a group of bad guys called Ravenous and it's a bunch of crows. So, the crows attack CKX (CK Expo) to confront the mayor about stealing the name of their boy band Crowfest. Heather and Arryn and Raff and Noa, they play judges and bailiffs," Bellamy said.
Bellamy said artist Craig Ferguson did a great job with the comic book and it looks incredible.

The CK Expo will be held April 29, 2023 at the John Bradley Convention Centre.
Bellamy said there are seven celebrities coming to this year's show, including the Blumbergs. He said there's also a replica of the car from the 80s show called Knight Rider. Visitors can also enjoy a games room and the artist alley.
