Roses for Rotary order deadline fast approaching

A popular and bright fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Chatham Sunrise is back.

Roses for Rotary will take place on April 5, but the deadline to place an order is Friday, March 31.

"This is our 22nd Roses for Rotary campaign," said President-Elect Glenn Smith. "For $25, you can order a dozen roses, they're mixed red, orange, and yellow, and we'll deliver them anywhere in Chatham-Kent, or you can pick them up on April 5."

Smith adds that all the money raised stays in Chatham-Kent.

"We use it for our local charity projects. For instance, last month we gave $18,000 to Outreach for Hunger," Smith. "So, we raise the money, and we donate to local charities."

Orders can be placed online through their website, www.rotarysunrise.com, or you can reach out to a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club.

"They can either pick up or have it delivered," said Smith. "Delivered for free, or they can pick it up at the Portuguese Club on Grand Ave. on April 5th, Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m."

In 2022, 750 dozen roses were sold through the Roses for Rotary fundraiser.
