Planned power outage in Chatham

If you return home from work Monday evening to no power - don't be alarmed.

Entegrus says 150 customers in the Grand Avenue and St. Clair Street area in Chatham will be affected by a planned outage on Monday, March 20, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The power provider says the outage will take place for “new line installations.”

A second planned outage will affect roughly 265 of its customers in Chatham on Wednesday, March 22, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Some customers on the following streets will be affected:

Amelia St, Florence St, Forest St, Gladstone Ave, Grand Ave E, Grand Ave W, Hillyard St,  Joseph St, Llydican Ave, Selkirk St, St Clair St, Stephenson Ave, and Victoria Ave.

All of the affected customers should have also been notified by phone. A rain date has been set for Thursday, March 23 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
