Two Chatham residents who have had prior run-ins with the law are facing drug trafficking charges after police executed a search warrant in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police said they seized approximately $16,000 worth of fentanyl, methamphetamine, MDMA, oxycodone, and diazepam during the search just before 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Officers also confiscated some digital scales, packaging material, cell phones, and Canadian currency during the investigation.
A 39-year-old Chatham man and a 38-year-old Chatham woman were both arrested and charged with failing to comply with an undertaking, two counts of drug possession, and three counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.
They were both taken to police headquarters and were set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.
