If you know somebody who has gone above and beyond in Chatham-Kent's agriculture sector, now is your chance to nominate them for the Kent Agricultural Hall of Fame.
The Kent Agricultural Hall of Fame Association recognizes individuals who have demonstrated achievement within the realm of agriculture and service to the rural community of Chatham-Kent and beyond.
Both living and deceased individuals who have met this standard over their lifetime or career can be nominated.
Each year, three to five individuals are chosen from a list of submitted nominees and are recognized at the annual induction ceremony held in November each year. The deadline for submissions is March 31, 2023.
"Those nominations received by that date will receive consideration by the committee at their Spring meeting, however nominations can be submitted at any time throughout the year for consideration the following year," said Chair Kent Agricultural Hall of Fame Association Rick Youlton.
To date, 201 of Kent County’s most accomplished individuals in the agricultural community have been recognized including primary production, extension and research, education, government, business and stewardship.
