Restaurant break-in suspect identified and arrested
A 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a pair of break-ins on Grand Avenue West in Chatham.
Police said their investigation started after they were notified of a break-in at Chuck's Roadhouse early Monday morning.
At that time, police also learned Wimpy's Diner next door had been broken into as well.
Officers were able to identify the man after releasing some photos to the public earlier this week and arrested him.
Police said the man they arrested was also wanted on a warrant for failing to comply with a probation order.
He was taken back to police headquarters and charged with break and enter, then later released with conditions and a future court date.

Wanted man arrested for breaching house arrest
A 39-year-old Dresden man who was supposed to stay at home is in more trouble with the law after he went out for an afternoon stroll on James Street in Wallaceburg.
CK police said an officer on general patrol saw the man just before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and learned that he was breaching his conditional sentence order, which included house arrest.
Officers caught up with the man about half an hour later on Westcourt Boulevard and arrested him.
He was taken back to police headquarters and was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Young man accused of threatening his parents
A 21-year-old Chatham-Kent man is facing a handful of charges after he allegedly threatened his parents while holding a knife after a family fight in Chatham.
Police said they were called to the residence on Indian Creek Road West just after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, adding that their investigation showed the man had assaulted his parents and was asked to leave.
While he was outside the home, the man allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened to harm his parents.
When police arrived, the man was still in the driveway outside the home and they arrested him.
He was taken back to police headquarters and was charged with uttering threats, assault, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Chatham man arrested for impaired driving
Chatham-Kent police have pulled another impaired driver off of the road.
Police said they stopped the driver on Murray Street in Wallaceburg at around 7 p.m. Tuesday while they were following up on a traffic complaint on St. Clair Road in Dover Township.
At that time, police believed the driver was impaired by alcohol, so they arrested him and took him back to police headquarters for breath tests.
A 69-year-old Chatham man was later charged with having a blood alcohol content over the legal limit. He was released with conditions and a future court date.
