A 60-year-old Chatham-Kent man is charged with arson after he allegedly started a house fire in Wallaceburg on New Year's Day.
Chatham-Kent police said the man turned himself in at 4 p.m. Wednesday after investigators had identified him as a suspect in the case.
Emergency crews were called to the home at 502 Wall Street in Wallaceburg just after 2 p.m. Sunday.
No injuries were reported and there is no word on a damage estimate.
The man who turned himself in was arrested, charged, and later released with a future court date.
