New grants are available to help small and medium sized enterprises in southern Ontario adopt green technology.
FedDev Ontario committed up to $4-million for the Yves Landry Foundation to provide grants for staff training on new green processes.
"Through today's FedDev Ontario investment, we are supporting 1,450 manufacturing jobs in southern Ontario, while demonstrating the Government of Canada's commitment to take the necessary steps forward to help our communities and businesses contribute to a greener and more resilient future," said MP Iqwinder Gaheer.
The Achieving Innovation and Manufacturing Excellence Green Initiative will award up to 36 companies with $100,000 grants.
"This will offset the cost of training expenses related to upskilling and retraining your workforce to adapt and adopt green manufacturing principles at the shop floor level," said Karyn Brearley, Executive Director of the Yves Landry Foundation
Applications for the AIME Green initiative will be accepted until March 31, 2023. Full details on the application process can be found here.
