Break-in at Chatham residence under construction
Chatham-Kent police are investigating after someone broke into a residence under construction on Keil Drive in Chatham and took off with about $200 worth of equipment.
Police said they were called to the scene at around 1:40 p.m. Thursday, adding that it's believed the theft took place sometime over the 24-hour period before that.

Another residential construction site targeted
Police are also looking for leads after someone broke into a residence on Middle Line in Blenheim and stole some building materials.
Officers were called to the scene at around 1:50 p.m. Thursday and learned that the break-in took place sometime between June 5 and October 27.

Woman arrested after a pair of unwanted person calls
A 26-year-old woman is spending some time sobering up in police custody after she was arrested at a residence on Churchill Street in Chatham early Friday morning.
Police said they took the woman into custody for her own safety at around 4:45 a.m. Friday after responding for a second time to a report of an unwanted person at a residence on Churchill Street in Chatham.
Officers said the woman was charged with being intoxicated in a public place and was set to be released once she sobered up.
