No injuries reported after a deck fire in Chatham 

No injuries are being reported after a deck fire at a residence on Wellington Street in Chatham.

Police said emergency crews were called to the home just after 12:40 p.m. on Saturday.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and stop it from spreading to the house.

Police said there were no injuries as a result of that fire and that cause is not believed to be suspicious.

The damage is being pegged at $20,000.

Chatham man arrested for violating his bail conditions

A 27-year-old Chatham man is in even more trouble with the police after he was located violating his release conditions.

Police said they were called to an address on Joseph Street in Chatham just after 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Through investigation, officers learned that one of individuals was violating his release conditions.

The man was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Ridgetown woman arrested for impaired driving 

A 43-year-old Ridgetown woman is facing an impaired driving charge after driving erratically on Fairview Line in Chatham.

Police said officers conducted a traffic stop shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Sunday and determined the woman was intoxicated by alcohol.

She was arrested and later released with a future court date.
