Police find drugs on wanted man

A 34-year-old Chatham man who was already wanted by police is in more trouble with the law after the officers who tracked him down allegedly found him carrying some illegal drugs.

Chatham-Kent police said the officers found the man while they were patrolling King Street in Chatham at around 3:30 p.m. Thursday and believed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Once they confirmed that, they arrested him and searched him.

Police said they found a small amount of narcotics in his possession, so they tacked on a charge for drug possession.
