Wanted persons arrested for skipping court, breaching conditions
Chatham-Kent police were able to cross off a few more names off of their wanted list this week.
Police said they arrested a 44-year-old Chatham-Kent woman just before 4:30 a.m. on Friday who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend her court date.
She was later released with a new court date.
A 21-year-old Camden Township man who was also wanted for skipping his court date was arrested just after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning after he turned himself in to police.
He was also later released with a new court date.
Chatham-Kent police said they were also able to catch up with a 48-year-old Chatham man who was wanted for failing to show up for an appointment through the Bail Supervision Program at the John Howard Society.
Police said he skipped his appointment on June 8 and he turned himself in just before 7 a.m. on Wednesday.
He was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.
In the fourth case, a 31-year-old Blenheim man who was wanted on a surety relief warrant was arrested in Blenheim.
Police said they found him just after 5 p.m. Wednesday on Talbot Street East and took him back into custody. After that, he was turned over to the OPP and taken to the Southwest Region Detention Center.

Man arrested for public intoxication
A 41-year-old Dover Township man spent some time in Chatham-Kent police custody Friday morning after he was picked up in Chatham for public intoxication.
Police said they found the man just after 5:30 a.m. Friday after they got a tip about a suspicious person on Grand Avenue East.
Officers said when they found the man, he was lying on the ground near a business, intoxicated and unable to care for himself.
Police took him back to police headquarters and he was set to be held there until he sobered up.

Tickets handed out during traffic enforcement
Chatham-Kent police handed out three tickets and towed one vehicle away while officers were carrying out traffic enforcement on Grand River Line in Dover Township on Thursday.
Police said the tickets were issued for various offences related to speeding and driver's license infractions.
