Man arrested after leaving a mess at Wallaceburg car wash
A 20-year-old Chatham-Kent man is facing a handful of charges after someone called in a theft and mischief complaint at a car wash in Wallaceburg.
Chatham-Kent police said they were called to the business on McNaughton Avenue just after 8 a.m. Tuesday and were able to identify a suspect after reviewing some surveillance footage.
That video evidence also reportedly showed the man dumping garbage in a car wash bay, breaking into an e-bike carrier and taking the charger.
A suspect was later arrested and charged with one count each of theft and possession of stolen property along with two counts of mischief.
He was later released with a future court date.

Man found with methamphetamine after alleged domestic assault
Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 45-year-old man for drug and assault-related charges after he was allegedly seen hitting a woman in Chatham Tuesday night.
Police said they started looking for the man after they received a report of a domestic dispute on Murray Street at around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday where a man was seen hitting a woman in the face and pulling her by the arm.
Officers said the man tried to get away before they arrived, but police were able to get a description of the man and the direction he was last seen heading.
Police said they arrested the man after finding both him and the woman a short distance away.
Officers said further investigation showed that the man had a condition from two release orders not to communicate with the woman. They also allegedly found some methamphetamine in his possession.
A 45-year-old Chatham-Kent man was charged with assault, failing to comply with a release order, failing to comply with an undertaking, and possession of a controlled substance.
He was later taken to police headquarters and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.
