(Photo by Millar Hill)Chatham-Kent police have confirmed the death of a 45-year-old man who was reported missing a month and a half ago.
On March 15, Chatham-Kent police began investigating the whereabouts of Franco Basaneze of Merlin.
On Friday morning, police confirmed that Basaneze was located deceased on Thursday.
A post mortem examination has been scheduled in order to determine the cause of death, which police said is not deemed to be suspicious.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
