Man arrested for vehicle theft
A 33-year-old man is facing charges after he was caught stealing an unoccupied utility vehicle from a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
Police said witnesses were able to block the suspect's vehicle but the suspect got out and ran off. Officers were able to quickly arrest him and despite many attempts to conceal his identity the man was identified.
The suspect was arrested for theft and possession of stolen property over $5,000 and obstructing police. He was also found to have an outstanding warrant.
The man was processed on all charges and released with a future court date.

Single vehicle crash leads to impared driving chagre
A driver is facing an impaired driving charge after jumping a curb of a roundabout and becoming stuck on a residential street in Chatham.
Police said when officers arrived, they found the driver of the vehicle to be intoxicated. The driver was arrested and taken to police headquarters for breath tests.
Police said the driver refused a legal demand to provide breath samples, which got them into more trouble. The driver was released when sober with a court date.
