Man accused of breaching conditions shortly after release
A 42-year-old Chatham man is in more trouble with the law after he allegedly went to see a woman he was banned from communicating with.
Chatham-Kent police said they found the man while they were responding to a domestic-related call on Raleigh Street in Chatham Sunday morning. At that time, police learned that the man had been released from the court earlier Sunday morning with conditions not to communicate with a specific woman or to attend any place she lives or works.
Despite that, police said they found the man inside the woman's home, so they arrested him for breaching his release conditions and three outstanding warrants.
The accused was taken back to police headquarters and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.

Man accused of assault during argument
A 22-year-old Chatham man has been arrested and charged with one count of assault after an argument between a tenant and a property manager on Gray Street in Chatham took a violent turn.
Police said officers were called to the residence Sunday afternoon and learned that the argument had escalated to a physical altercation.
The accused was later released with conditions and a future court date.

Man accused of assaulting woman in a Tilbury parking lot
A 37-year-old Windsor man who was wanted for assaulting a woman in a parking lot on Queen Street in Tilbury last month has turned himself in.
Police said their investigation, which started on March 27, showed that the man had assaulted the woman before leaving the area.
The woman suffered undisclosed injuries and a warrant was issued for the man's arrest.
Police said the man turned himself in at the police substation in Tilbury on Sunday and was charged with one count each of assault and assault causing bodily harm.
He was later released with a future court date.

Blenheim man booked for vehicle theft
A 59-year-old Blenheim man is facing theft and forgery charges after police followed up on a complaint about a vehicle theft at a residence on Flemingo Street in Blenheim.
Police said they received the complaint on March 27 and officers later managed to track down the vehicle and identified a suspect.
The accused was arrested and charged with theft and uttering forged documents. He was later released with a future court date.

Police looking for stolen Dodge
Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers is appealing to the public for tips after a blue 2010 Dodge Journey was reported stolen from an address on Patterson Avenue in Chatham over the weekend.
Police said they got the call on Sunday, adding that it's believed the vehicle was taken sometime between 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday morning.
The vehicle was last seen with Ontario licence plates CEKN24.
