Wallaceburg woman arrested following disturbance 

Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 44-year-old Wallaceburg woman after a homeowner caught her inside the garage of their residence on King Street in Wallaceburg.

Police said the woman was taken to police headquarters and held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Search continues for missing Merlin man 

Chatham-Kent police are continuing their investigation into the disappearance of a man from Merlin.

Investigators say Franco Basaneze, 45, was last seen around 10:30 p.m. on Monday in the area of Rivard Line in Grande Pointe.  He was reported missing on Tuesday.

He was driving a grey 2009 Ford Fusion with Ontario license plate CBSZ-696.

He is described as 5’3″, 160 pounds, with brown eyes, and brown hair and was last seen wearing a blue hoodie and blue pants with boots.
