Chatham man arrested after shattering a business window with a rock 

A 56-year-old Chatham man has been charged with mischief after breaking the window of a local business.

Police said the man became upset with a passing vehicle before throwing the rock at the window.

He was arrested and later released with a future court date on April 20, 2022.

Police search for driver who failed to remain at the scene of a crash 

Chatham-Kent police are asking for the public's help in locating the driver of a brown Ford Mustang who crashed into a hydro pole on Park Street and then took off

Police said the vehicle was unoccupied when they responded to the collision around 2 p.m. Friday.

The damages are estimated at $5,000.

Wallaceburg woman caught driving drunk during traffic stop 

A 21-year-old Wallaceburg woman is facing an impaired driving charge after she was caught during a traffic stop in Wallaceburg.

Police said they received a complaint regarding a possible impaired driver on Brabaw Street around 8:30 p.m. Friday night.

An investigation led officers to believe the woman's ability to drive the vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

The driver was arrested and charged for having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

She was later released from custody with a future court date on March 22.
