Environment Canada has ended a wind warning for Chatham-Kent, Windsor-Essex, Leamington, London-Middlesex, and Elgin counties, which was issued on Saturday.
The national weather agency said a strong southwest wind would develop late Sunday morning or early afternoon as a cold front moved through southern Ontario.
Wind gusts of 80 to 90 kilometres per hour were forecasted alongside thunderstorms that may have produced localized wind gusts in excess of 100 kilometres per hour.
The agency also warned that widespread power outages were possible.
