Pickup truck, trailer loaded with compact tractor reported stolen
Chatham-Kent police are asking for your help to track down a pickup truck, a covered trailer, and a tractor that were all reported stolen from a residence on Talbot Trail in Wheatley early Friday morning.
Police said sometime between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Friday, someone took off with the 2017 grey Ford F-250 along with a silver 16' enclosed trailer that had a 2018 John Deere compact tractor inside with a snow blower attachment.
Officers said the truck was last seen with Ontario license plates 6811LM while the trailer had an Ontario license plate M3357H.
The total value of the theft is estimated at $95,000.

Vehicle found on fire in ditch on Merlin Road
Police are looking for leads after they found an abandoned vehicle on fire in a ditch just north of Merlin.
Officers said emergency crews were called to the scene on Merlin Road near Ninth Line at around 4:30 a.m., adding that the vehicle was badly damaged and was towed from the scene.

Don't leave your car running unattended
Chatham-Kent police are reminding drivers not to make their vehicles an easy target for thieves by leaving them running while unattended.
Police said while it's tempting to do so in order to warm the car up before you need to drive, it's also an "open invitation" for someone to steal it.
