Maroons fall to Stars 4-2

The Chatham Maroons dropped a 4-2 decision against the St. Thomas Stars during Saturday afternoon's home game.

Chatham struggled during the first period and was unsuccessful at getting any shots into St. Thomas' net. The team finished the frame behind the Stars 2-0.

Heading into second, Lucas Fancy scored the Maroons their first goal of the game at 10:48. The Stars retaliated a few minutes later in an effort to maintain a two-point lead on Chatham. With no other shots in the net, Chatham heads into the final period behind 3-1.

During the third period, Fancy scored a second time for the Maroons at 2:27. Despite the team's efforts to get ahead, St. Thomas scored a fourth time securing a 4-2 win against Chatham.

Maroons goaltender Luka Dobrich made an impressive 50 saves out of 54 shots on net.

The Maroons hit the road again on Thursday to play the Leamington Flyers. Puck drops for that game at 7:10 p.m.
