Maroons down Legionnaires 3-1

The Chatham Maroons topped the Sarnia Legionnaires 3-1 during Thursday's away game.

Chatham was the first team to score with a goal by Dylan Glinski during a power play 1:51 into the first period. The Legionnaires then replied with a goal of their own halfway through the first frame.

The Maroons capped off the period with a second goal by Cameron Symons with just under four minutes left, breaking the tie for a 2-1 lead going into second.

Both teams made attempts at scoring during the second half of the game but were unsuccessful.

Heading into the final period, the Maroons scored for a third time with a goal by Isaac Legood at 13:23 defeating Sarnia 3-1.

Goaltender Luka Dobrich made 33 saves out of 34 shots on net.

The Maroons will head back home Saturday to take on the St. Thomas Stars. Puck drops for that game at 2 p.m.
