What’s open and closed on Labour Day

Municipal offices will be closed and several services will not be available on Monday as many residents mark the unofficial end of summer.

CK Transit will not be operational on Labour Day.

Garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day during the week of September 6.

Entegrus and the Public Utilities Commission will be closed on Monday, as will the Health and Family Services building.

The Chatham-Kent Homeless Response Line will be available at 519-354-6628. Essential after-hours Public Health Services are available by calling 1-866-446-8207.

Although several services at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will be affected by the holiday, COVID-19 testing will not be. The Assessment Centre located at the 10 Grand Avenue plaza in Chatham will be open on Labour Day. The Centre’s hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week.

In the meantime, routine x-rays, electrocardiograms, and ultrasounds at CKHA sites in Chatham and Wallaceburg will not be available on Labour Day. However, the departments will be staffed for emergencies.

The Chatham-Kent Mental Health and Addictions Program and the Rapid Access to Addiction Medicine clinic will be closed on Monday. Those in crisis can call 1-866-299-7447 or visit an Emergency Room.
