Chatham-Kent police are asking for the public's help to identify the man and woman pictured below in connection with a fraud investigation in Chatham.

Wanted man accused of stealing from LCBO

A 29-year-old man who was already wanted by police has been arrested in connection with a theft from the LCBO on Wellington Street in Chatham.

Police said the theft took place earlier this week, adding that they were able to identify a suspect with the help of some video surveillance.

Officers found him on King Street West in Chatham Thursday morning and arrested him.

The accused was charged with theft and possession of stolen property and later released pending a future court date.

Man arrested after domestic call in Wallaceburg

A 29-year-old Brampton man is in more trouble with the law after he allegedly showed up at a woman's apartment in Wallaceburg even though he had been ordered not to go there.

Police said that was one of the conditions of his release in April 2019. At that time, he was also ordered to stop communicating with the woman.

Despite that, police said they allegedly found the man at the woman's apartment Thursday morning while they were responding to a call about a domestic dispute.

The accused was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply with his release conditions.

Wanted woman arrested for stealing from gas station

A 29-year-old Wallaceburg woman who was wanted by police is facing a two more charges after she allegedly stole about $95 worth of items from the Shell Gas Station on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Police said they were able to identify a suspect after reviewing video surveillance and arrested her Thursday afternoon on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.

She was taken into custody pending a bail hearing and later released pending a future court date.

Break-in at Club Lentinas

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they investigate a break-in at Club Lentinas on National Road in Chatham.

Police said sometime either late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, someone forced their way into the business and took off with two Elavon debit machines, a Lenovo desktop tower, and a black printer/scanner.

The total value of the theft was estimated at $1,000 while the damage caused by the break-in was estimated at $5,000.

Impaired driver stopped in Dover Township

A 43-year-old man is facing an impaired driving charge after he was stopped in the area of Bear Line Road near Grand River Line in Dover Township Thursday night.

Police said they pulled the man's vehicle over after they got a report of a possible impaired driver at around 9 p.m. Thursday.

After speaking with the man, officers believed he was driving under the influence of alcohol, so he was taken back to police headquarters for breath tests.

The accused was later charged with having a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit and was later released pending a future court date.

Ten drivers stopped for speeding

Chatham-Kent police handed out tickets to ten drivers during a recent speed enforcement initiative on Fairview Line.

Officers said they're also reminding the public that those enforcement initiatives will continue in an effort to keep everyone safe on the roads.
