Man arrested following break and enter at Chatham warehouse 

Chatham-Kent police have arrested and charged a Chatham man following a break and enter at a warehouse in Chatham.

Police say there were called to the area of Raleigh Street about a man who broke into a warehouse building on Saturday.

A 39-year-old man was found inside while police were searching the building. The man was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters.

He was later released with a future court date to answer to the charge.

Man accused of stealing $90 of chocolate 

Chatham-Kent police were called to the Dollarama store on St. Clair Street on Saturday after a man was allegedly seen stealing $90 worth of chocolate.

Police say a 23-year-old Chatham man was located close by and was placed under arrest for theft and possession under $5,000.

The man was later released with a future court date on September 14.

Man accused of public intoxication 

A 23-year-old man has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place.

Police say they were called around about a disturbance in a parking lot near King Street and Fourth Street in Chatham. When police arrived, they observed a man outside of a building unable to take care of himself.

Police said the man was taken into custody and brought to headquarters. He was released on Sunday sober.
