Another evening of severe thunderstorms was in store for parts of southwestern Ontario Friday evening.
Just before 5 p.m., Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent including Leamington, Kingsville, Colchester, Harrow, Elmdale and Wheatley.
At 5:36 p.m., London-Middlesex was issued a severe thunderstorm warning for areas near Dorchester and Nilestown.
About half an hour later, around 6 p.m., the warnings for both areas were lifted. Parts of eastern Elgin County including St. Thomas and Aylmer were put under a severe thunderstorm watch, but the watch was ended shortly before 9 p.m.
