Man arrested after trying to run  from police 

A Chatham man is facing more charges after he allegedly took off from police as they were trying to arrest him.

According to police officials, the man was already wanted for failing to attend court.

Police said after a short pursuit on foot, the man was eventually arrested.

The 23-year-old has been additionally charged with escaping lawful custody and resisting arrest. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Two-vehicle collision leads to arrest

A Chatham man has been arrested for driving while impaired, resulting in a two-vehicle collision on Drury Line in Harwich Township.

The 34-year-old man was transported to police headquarters where he blew more than double the legal limit.

Police said the man was released from custody with a future court date on August 23.

Man arrested after damaging multiple windows in Dresden 

Chatham-Kent police were called to St. George Street in Dresden after several windows had been broken, early Monday morning.

After reviewing the video surveillance, police were able to identify and locate the man, who was found walking just outside of Dresden.

Police said the man was also currently wanted for failing to attend court.

As a result, a 43-year-old Wallaceburg man has been arrested and charged with an additional seven counts of mischief under $5,000.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
