Active COVID-19 case count holding steady

Lambton Public Health reported just one more case of COVID-19 Thursday.

The health unit in its daily update reported one new confirmed case, for a total of 3,638 since the start of the pandemic.

The number of cases considered resolved also increased by one to 3,564, leaving the number of active infections unchanged at six.

The health unit said during the week of July 18 to 24, there were 829 people tested for COVID-19, 0.36 per cent were positive.

Since March 2020, there have been 68 local deaths linked to the virus.

There are no active workplace or institutional outbreaks.

Bluewater Health had no COVID-positive patients in hospital.
