Police investigate shoplifting complaint
Chatham-Kent police were called to Walmart for a suspected theft. A 38-year-old male suspect was located and arrested.
Officers determined the man was also on conditions not to attend the store which resulted in him being charged with breaching a release order.
The man was later released with a future court date.
Woman charged with assaulting police
Officers have charged a woman with assaulting police during an altercation at a Chatham motel.
Police say they received a complaint about an unwanted person at the Traveller Inn on Queen's Line. When officers arrived and attempted to remove the 38-year-old female, she began to throw garbage at police.
The woman was arrested a short time later and released with conditions to appear in court on September 8.
Officers arrest woman wanted on warrant
While Chatham-Kent officers were investigating a matter on Queen's Line, police observed a female known to be wanted by police.
The 32-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and later released with a court date for September 1.
Traffic stop leads to impaired driving charge
Police say an officer on duty observed a driver suspected to be impaired in the area of Queen's Line in Tilbury.
The officer conducted a traffic stop and asked the driver to complete a roadside screening test. The driver did not pass the test and was taken to police headquarters for a breath test.
Once at the station, the accused failed additional testing and was charged.
A 45-year-old Leamington man was released pending a future court date.
