Grey Bruce reports multiple new COVID-19 cases, but low activity in the rest of Midwestern Ontario

The Grey Bruce health Unit added 15 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday. There are 147 active cases. Nine residents are hospitalized with the virus. On Wednesday, Huron Kinloss and Northern Bruce Peninsula were the only communities without an active case. The death toll increased by one, as 16 residents with the virus have passed away.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health reports three hospitalizations due to COVID-19, and six new cases were confirmed Wednesday. There were no new cases in Wellington County, where there are eleven active cases, including four in Minto and two in Wellington North.

Huron Perth Public Health reported 2 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, in Stratford and Perth South. There are 13 active cases and one person is hospitalized.

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
