The Children's Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent didn't let the pandemic slow down their biggest fundraiser of the year.
A grand total of $151,500 was raised at the virtual Festival of Giving on Saturday, July 10, 2021.
"Thank you to our sponsors, virtual guests and volunteers for making this a successful event and raising important funds that we need for our kids." says Mike Genge, Foundation President. "The funds raised will go towards providing quality therapy and programming to children with special needs in our community."
Over 600 tickets were sold for the "Good Times and Tan Lines" event. Each ticket came with a party bag full of vouchers for food and drinks, plus a chance to win a 1996 BMW Z3 Roadster, which was won by Tony M of Wallaceburg.
This is the second year the festival has gone virtual due to the pandemic. Organizers noted that normally, over 1,000 guests attend the event in person.
This year's virtual show included special appearances from past Festival of Giving Chairs and recorded performances by local band Face 4 Radio.
