The 519 Podcast presents: Battling COVID in 80 days

The perception, among some, is that COVID-19 is an illness that has the worst impacts only for older people or those with underlying health conditions.

Doctors would disagree with that, and Mike and Sarah VanNetten would certainly have a different story to tell.

Mike is a 45-year-old farmer from Norfolk County, and he spent more than 80 days in the hospital battling the illness.

Now, he's finally home - but the future for him is unclear.

Why did he spend so long in the hospital? How did Sarah keep family and friends updated?

Host Craig Needles spoke with the VanNettens on this week's episode of the 519 News Podcast.
