Man accused of committing an indecent act

A 26-year-old Chatham man has been charged with committing an indecent act after he allegedly exposed himself at a business.

Police made an arrest after officers were called to a business located on Grand Avenue West around 8 p.m. Friday.

Alleged impaired driver nearly falls into traffic

Impaired driving charges have been laid after a vehicle on Queens Line reportedly caused a police cruiser to swerve onto the gravel shoulder in order to avoid a collision.

Police said a westbound vehicle in Tilbury allegedly swerved into the eastbound lanes Friday night around 7:25 p.m.

Once the vehicle was stopped, police said the driver stepped out and almost fell into traffic. He was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Services' headquarters and allegedly registered over 200mg of alcohol in 100mg of blood.

A 40-year-old Chatham man was charged with impaired driving, having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit, and the operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited.

Arrest made during break-in

A Chatham man has been arrested in connection to a break-in at a business on Richmond Street.

Officers were called around 3 a.m. Saturday. A 42-year-old allegedly found inside the business was arrested and charged with break and enter, theft, possession of stolen property under $5,000, and possession of break and enter instruments.
