CKHA services altered for Victoria Day

As Ontarians ring in the unofficial start to summer on May 24, many people will have the day off and some businesses and agencies will be closed for the holiday.

Several services offered at both Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s sites will be altered on Monday in recognition of the Victoria Day holiday.

All outpatient diagnostic tests will not be available on Monday. Ambulatory care services, out-patient rehabilitation services, pre-surgical screening services, the Diabetes Education Centre, the TIA and CAD clinics, pulmonary function lab, outpatient lab services, health records and patient appointment offices will be closed. The oncology/chemotherapy department will also be closed as well as Elston Pharmacy at the Chatham site and The Business Office and Cashier's Office.

The Chatham-Kent Mental Health and Addictions Program Outpatient Department will be closed on Monday as well as the Rapid Access to Addiction Medicine Clinic. The immediate crisis line can still be reached by calling 1-866-299-7447.

Anyone looking to get a COVID-19 test will be able to do so. The COVID-19 Assessment Centre at the St. Clair College HealthPlex in Chatham will be open on Monday. Hemodialysis care will stay open on the holiday as well.

The emergency departments at both the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will remain open as usual, 24 hours a day.

Across Chatham-Kent, garbage and recycling collection services will be delayed by one day for the whole week of May 24 as a result of the holiday.
