Serious crash sends two Wallaceburg residents to hospital

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a two vehicle crash in Wallaceburg early Saturday morning that sent two people to the hospital -- one with serious injuries.

Police said they were called to the scene at around 5:40 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Kimball Road and Langstaff Line.

Both of the drivers involved in the collision were taken to the hospital in Wallaceburg for medical attention.

Officers said a 24-year-old Wallaceburg woman was treated there for minor injuries while a 71-year-old Wallaceburg man was later air lifted to a hospital in London for treatment of serious injuries.

The Traffic Management Unit is in charge of the investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Dan Carroll at [email protected] or 519-355-1092.
