A fire that started in the battery compartment of a truck has caused a total of $160,000 worth of damage.
Chatham-Kent Fire officials said crews from the Blenheim and Harwich North stations were called to 10785 Pinehurst Line Tuesday morning at 6:15 a.m.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze quickly.
Following an investigation, inspectors determined that the cause of the blaze was accidental.
Inspectors said the fire started in the truck which was parked inside of a commercial building. No injuries were reported.
The fire caused approximately $10,000 worth of damage to the truck and $150,000 worth of damage to the structure.
