The active COVID-19 case count in Sarnia-Lambton continues to decline but another death has been reported.
Lambton Public Health said Tuesday the area's 55th virus-related death is an individual in their 70s. Bluewater Health said the man was admitted to the hospital from his home.
The number of new confirmed infections increased by five to 3,125 and recoveries went up by 19 to 2,986. The active case count is now at 84, down 15.
There are two active outbreaks, an increase of one over the last 24 hours. The latest was reported at Lambton College Residence after three people tested positive.
Bluewater Health had seven positive patients in hospital as of Tuesday. Communications Chief Julia Oosterman said two of the patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and one is on a ventilator.
